Gongdong Public Security Authorities on Food and Drug Crimes & Achievement cooperate with Yuexiu PSB destoryed four cross-border criminal gangs that produce and sell fake drugs. A large nymber of fake drugs, such as Sildenafil or Viagra were sold to the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

Commanded by Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department and joined by several Guangzhou municipal authorities, the raids took place on the evening of August 28, 2019, which deployed over 200 police to arrests 24,seize 2 million and more Sildenafil or Viagra counterfeit tablets from drug gangs located in cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Totally, the seizes counterfeit drugs worth more than 500 million in crackdown.

According to a policeman introduced who partcipated in August 28 Operation, the profits of selling counterfeit tablets was huge, for instance, a fake aphrodisiac cost  was less than a dime, but it can be sold at a few RMB or more. Police investigation records attest the drug gangs had long history of selling, so the illegal profits were considerable. 

Additionally, taking fake aphrodisiac drugs will cause damage to the cardiovascular and kidney organs of the human body. Because of the poor production process, the main ingredients of counterfeit drugs are more or less, some contain 10%, some 30%, some reach 100%, even are completely absent. If the patients with hypertension take extensive sildenafil, it may even cause death.
